Fuuse ranked 10th most important company in uk electric vehicle market

Written by Alicia Bennett

We're pleased to have been ranked '10th most important company in The UK EV market' in the Spring 2026 Futurice Electric 40. Published annually, the report ranks UK eMobility companies across four core metrics to form a list of 40 frontrunners across the EV and energy markets. Core metrics include market execution, market innovation, technology capability and technology impact

The 2026 Electric 40 report marks a shift in methodology, moving away from hardware rollout and network scale towards digital integration, systems and customer impact. This change reflects the growing importance of software maturity, interoperability and operational resilience across the EV sector, and explains why Fuuse has been ranked in the top 10.

"Fuuse's strength lies in its ability to operate behind the scenes: connecting different hardware, supporting grid integration and adapting to customer needs".

"Making infrastructure the hero" - why Fuuse was ranked in the top 10

By ranking Fuuse 10th in the Electric 40, Futurice recognises how infrastructure is the core of our business, with enterprise-grade software that supports over 750 clients across the UK and Ireland. Some of our key clients mentioned are SSE, Scottish Power, Siemens and British Airways.

The report also details the investment rounds we've closed over the last few years, and the rapid expansion the business has seen as a result. It highlights how we have remained focused on the B2B markets, and the diversity of clients that includes councils, utilities, universities and corporates. It also picks out the more recently launched home reimbursement service for fleet EV drivers, and notes that the corporate positioning differentiates us from more consumer-led entrants, "providing a more predictable growth trajectory".

How fuuse fared in the ranking core four metrics

  • Market Execution 4/5: "Fuuse has expanded to more than 750 clients and 100,000 active users".

  • Market Innovation 4/5: "The company is flexing its strength with V2G projects inductive charging and grid optimisation tools".

  • Technology Capability 4/5: "Fuuse has a strong core platform and continues to develop its integration scope".

  • Technology Impact 4/5: "Fuuse processes enough electricity annually to power The UK for one hour".

Lancashire to Europe and Beyond

Fuuse is headquartered in Lancaster, Lancashire, and the report highlights how our technology has evolved from a regional software provider to a national B2B EV charging platform, with a strong focus on interoperability. In May 2025, we announced a partnership with DKV mobility, one of Europe's leading fleet managers - a deal that is helping pave the way to continental markets.

As the Futurice Electric 40 also covers energy, our energy services received a mention within the write-up. The report specifically referred to dynamic load management and dynamic load balancing, noting their ability to monitor sites, shift loads and unlock flexibility revenues.
